Careers

Small team. Real ownership. Feedback you can use.

We hire people who want to be responsible for a number rather than a task list, and we teach the reasoning behind the work rather than handing out checklists. Applications are by email only.

DG5 does not hire through WhatsApp or Telegram and never asks applicants for money, no registration fee, no training deposit, no security payment. 01

What working here is actually like

We are a small team, which has obvious upsides and one honest downside: there is nowhere to hide. Everyone owns work that a client can see. A first year strategist presents their own analysis in the review call rather than watching a director present it. That is uncomfortable for about two months and then it becomes the reason people here get good quickly.

The work spans six services and nobody is locked into one of them forever. A search specialist who wants to understand paid media sits in on media reviews. A developer curious about lifecycle automation gets to build a sequence with the person who designs them. We would rather grow generalists with one deep skill than specialists who cannot read anybody else's dashboard.

We are not a company that performs hustle. Deadlines are real, launches occasionally run long, and we do not pretend otherwise, but a permanent state of emergency is a planning failure, not a culture. Most weeks end when they should.

02

The internship

Our internship is a working role, not a shadowing exercise. Interns are given a real account area with a real owner supervising it: a keyword universe to build, campaign creative to brief and test, a set of landing pages to audit, or an automation flow to map. The work goes live, which means it is reviewed properly before it does.

You should expect direct feedback and a lot of it. You should also expect to be told the reasoning behind decisions rather than just the decisions, because the point of the programme is that you leave able to make them yourself. Interns who do well are usually offered a full time role; those who do not still leave with a portfolio of things they actually shipped.

Applications are by email only. Send your resume and a short note explaining what you want to learn and why this team specifically. If you have work to show, anything from a campaign you ran to a site you built for a family business, include it. It matters far more than a formatted cover letter.

03

What we look for

Curiosity that shows up as evidence. We are far more interested in what you have taken apart and understood than in which institution issued your certificate. Someone who has run a hundred rupees a day of ads for a friend's bakery and can explain what happened has told us more than a distinction in a marketing paper.

Clear writing. Nearly every part of this job is writing, briefs, ad copy, review notes, client updates, documentation. People who can explain a complicated thing simply are useful in every seat here, technical or not.

Comfort with being wrong in public. Marketing is a discipline of tests, and most tests fail. We need people who report a failed experiment on day three instead of quietly hoping it recovers by day thirty.

A good sign in an interview is someone who asks what a bad month looks like here, not just a good one. We would rather a candidate hear about the slow client, the campaign that missed its number, and the review that ran long, before they accept an offer than after. People who join with an accurate picture tend to stay, and the ones who stay are the ones this team is built around.

Questions

Before you apply.

How do I apply?

+

Email your resume and a short note to hello@dg5agency.com with the role in the subject line. That is the only application route we use.

Is the internship paid?

+

Compensation is discussed openly in the first conversation, along with duration and what the role covers. We will not ask you to pay us anything at any point.

Do you hire remote?

+

Roles are Bangalore based, with flexibility once someone is settled in. Interns work with the team in person, because the feedback loop is the entire value of the programme.

What does the hiring process look like?

+

A short call, then a practical exercise close to real work, then a conversation about it with the person you would work under. Usually two weeks end to end.

I was contacted about a DG5 job on WhatsApp or Telegram. Is that you?

+

No. We do not recruit through WhatsApp or Telegram and we never ask candidates for payment, registration fees or deposits. If this happens to you, please forward the details to hello@dg5agency.com.
